We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Community Construction and Rehabilitation Coordinator to play a vital role in leading and managing our diverse construction initiatives.
In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing essential single-family rehabilitation projects funded by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, as well as coordinating gut rehab projects under our Housing Matters and home renovation programs.
Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to mentor and guide our Workforce Development participants, a group of aspiring construction professionals seeking to make a difference in their lives and communities.
Responsibilities Collaborate with RHP staff to develop and monitor department and project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources to fulfill the organization's mission.
Work alongside RHP staff to strategize and manage vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and volunteers, forging strong connections within the community.
Champion and emulate RHP's mission and core values, communicating clear objectives and performance expectations to your dedicated team.
Develop and administer construction policies and procedures while providing valuable insights on construction techniques and project costs during the pre-development phase.
Cultivate a culture of operational excellence, ensuring high-quality work, reducing risks, optimizing efficiencies, and delivering results on time.
Continuously improve outcomes by standardizing processes and actively seeking new vendor/subcontractor relationships to enhance our construction programs.
Serve as the organization's construction expert, well-versed in budgeting, project management, supply chain management, volunteer coordination, and performance management platforms.
Foster a culture of safety through the development and maintenance of a safety program based on construction best practices.
Mentoring and guiding construction volunteers, trainees, interns and other construction program participants:
Lead and mentor our Construction and Rehabilitation Education trainees, individuals recovering from substance abuse who are looking to learn the construction trades, which includes the following:
Provide hands-on training and guidance to the CARE trainees and other volunteers, fostering their development as aspiring construction professionals.
Create a supportive and empowering environment for the construction volunteers and program participants, ensuring they have opportunities to make a positive impact in their lives and communities through construction work.
Collaborate with RHP staff to identify training programs for the CARE trainees, addressing their unique needs and aspirations within the construction industry.
Encourage the personal and professional growth of all individuals who seek to learn about the construction trades, fostering their commitment to our mission and values while ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment for all participants.

Salary and Benefits After 90 day probationary period:
Salary starts at $42,500 for the first 90 days then $43,000-$47,000, based on skills Health Benefits Life Insurance After 6 months, employees are eligible for:
